The wine

Grande Réserve Brut is a champagne from the house of Devaux; It is a blend of several vintages that allows you to obtain the complexity of a traditional champagne. Golden yellow. The nose recalls floral aromas associated with fruity notes such as peach and apricot. In the mouth, finesse and structure are expressed in chorus. Evolution towards more complexity. Delicious finish with fruity notes.

Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker and Suckling

Devaux's NV Blanc de Noirs Brut is a clear, bright and aromatic Champagne based on 100% Pinot Noir. Very pure but intensely aromatic and concentrated on the nose, this is a full-bodied, round, complex and persistent cuvée with good freshness and grip in the pure, powerful and structured finish. The mousse is very fine and coats the whole palate, leaving some grip and salinity. The (unknown) dosage is a bit too high for my personal taste. I tasted this Brut in November 2017 but received the sample in December 2015, so the disgorgement could be from early 2015.

Attractive dried berries and woody elements on the nose with dried-lemon and bready notes, too. The palate has quite a rich feel and a wealth of ripe-fruit flavor in an attractively fleshy style. Drink now.
