The wine
Delamotte Brut Blanc de Blancs is a delicate Champagne and the most popular of those produced by the Delamotte house.
The Chardonnay grapes used in its making grow on top-rate calcareous land that confers a recognisable mineral character on the wine. Made with 10% reserve wines, it proves most appealing with its lovely straw colour and refined nose, rich in white flower and citrusy aromas, and having a charming toasty undertone. On the palate, its extremely fine mousse enables it to reveal how fresh and also concentrated it is. Some shy herbaceous notes emerge as it signs off with elegant suggestions of citrus freshness.
