Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker and Jancis Robinson

The NV (2009) Brut Blanc de Blancs Hugues de Coulmet is an excellent and representative wine for the vintage. Pears, flowers and sweet, subtle spices flow effortlessly from the glass. Soft and textured throughout, the Hugues de Coulmet is a delicious, entry-level Champagne that impresses for its overall harmony and pure balance. The Hugues de Coulmet emerges from vineyards in Sezanne and is the only Moncuit wine not made from Mesnil fruit. Dosage was 9 grams per liter. Disgorged June 2012. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016.

Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Lesser bottling from a family producer admired by the French press. Very frothy with a hint of coconut. Dry finish, as though there were a bit of bottle age on this. Tangy and bone dry. But with some interest.
