Cesanese
Affile, Olevano Romano and Piglio are the epicentres of the Cesanese rebirth, the largest and most important red native variety in Lazio. Between Rome and Frosinone, the Cesanese, although not concealing its origins of rustic grapes and rough tannins, is now a full member of the great Italian native wines. In the excellent versions that the best wineries have been experimenting for years now, it takes on a noble character, soft and enveloping, of great and appreciable persistence.
