Enantio

"Labrusca hoc est vitis silvestris quod vocatur oenantium", wrote Pliny in Naturalis Historia. And in fact, what we still call enantio today is a wild grape variety that belongs to the Lambrusco family. Originally from Emilia, however, it has taken root very well in the lower Adige valley, between Trentino and Veneto, where it is considered the most representative grape of the Valdadige Terradeiforti DOC. Tough, resistant and productive, enantio produces a very intense ruby red colour, of good structure, with floral and slightly spicy olfactory notes and a balanced taste structure, of tannin content, good intensity, appreciable persistence.
