Malvasia di Casorzo
Probably of Greek origin, malvasia di Casorzo is one of the most famous malvasie nere in Italy, similar in type and organoleptic profile to the nearby malvasia of Castelnuovo Don Bosco. Also known as malvasia nera di Piemonte, these grapes give a slightly aromatic, sparkling or sometimes spumante wine with quite noticeable sugar residual, with vinous aromas of violets, fresh fruit and dark fruit jams, with a simple and immediate taste profile, medium-structured and with barely hinted tannin.
