Nasco

A native Sardinian grape variety, it is considered to be one of the most prestigious and identity-rich on the island. It is widespread especially in the hinterland of Cagliari, where it prefers calcareous soils and high exposure to the sun. It expresses itself particularly well after withering: in this guise it presents itself with a very elegant and warm colour of amber and topaz, of thick consistency, with extraordinarily intense and enveloping scents of honey, overripe fruit, dates, figs, candied orange with a finish of Mediterranean scrub and musk (hence, according to some, the name, a bit like Muscat). On the palate it is dense, sweet and velvety.
