The Nardini Aquavite Riserva 15 anni grappa celebrates the 225th anniversary of the founding of the Nardini company in Bassano, in the Vicenza province. This grappa is made with the pomace from different grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Vert (or Friulano) grapes, all collected on the Alpine hills of the Friuli region.
Smooth, intense, and complex, it is the result of a painstakingly careful distillation. The pomace is collected together and kept in underground tanks for two months and then the distillation process is carried out in an alembic still, a process lasting from October until May. After ageing for 15 years in Slovenian oak barrels, the grappa is finally bottled, ready to delight even the most demanding of palates.
Offering a discrete golden colour with copper glints, and a long-lasting and elegant aroma, the Nardini Aquavite Riserva 15 anni offers us a perfect harmony between the notes of its distillation and its ageing. It is smooth yet intense in the mouth, with fine notes of tobacco and resin, and a hint of the wood it aged in.
It is recommended to serve at room temperature, accompanied with good dark chocolate, a cigar, or simply a pleasant conversation.
