Wine from Arbois AOC
The AOC Arbois is a designation of origin located in the heart of the Jura, in the east of France, and is the oldest in the region (recognised in 1936). With a unique and authentic character, Arbois produces wines in all their versions: white, red, rosé and sparkling, being especially known for its oxidative wines and the characteristic vins jaunes made with the Savagnin variety. Chardonnay, Trousseau, Poulsard and Pinot Noir are also cultivated, allowing for a great stylistic diversity. The white wines of Arbois are complex, with notes of walnut, dried apple and spices, while the reds can be light and perfumed or deep and earthy, depending on the variety. This appellation perfectly reflects the spirit of the Jura: wines with identity, history and a strong link to their terroir.
