Wine from Canary Islands

In the Canary Islands, there are eleven designations of origin spread over the different islands. 

Five of them bear the name of the island itself: La Palma, El Hierro, Gran Canaria, La Gomera and Lanzarote; the wines of Tenerife are covered by five different designations of origin: Abona, Tacoronte-Acentejo, Valle de Güimar, Valle de la Orotava and Ycoden-Daute-Isora; plus a regional label that covers all the islands, the quality wine with geographical indication Canary Islands.
