If you have already heard of Auchentoshan, a distillery in the Scottish Lowlands, you'll know they make delicate, elegant, easy-going whiskies. This well-deserved reputation is down to their triple distilled malt whiskies — an uncommon practice in Scotland where whiskies are usually distilled just twice. The triple-distillation process produces whiskies with a softer flavour and body. However, this description does definitely not suit their Auchentoshan Three Wood whisky. This award-winning whisky has matured in three different kinds of barrels: it spends at least ten years in Bourbon casks, then a year in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, before finishing with another year in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The final result: a warm whisky with character and notes of sherry. Aromas of cooked fruit, sherry and toffee stand out alongside notes of Bas Armagnac. Rich on the palate, with hints of cherry liqueur, dark chocolate, wild forest fruits, and toffee, balanced out with a touch of green fruits. A long, dry and creamy finish. A rich and distinct experience.

Three Wood ...the best
Ever since we visited the Auchentoshan distillery while on holiday in Scotland, Three Wood has topped our single malt list. We were never keen on whiskey before but now we are hooked on it. We have tried other very good single malts but nothing satisfies us more than Three Wood.

Vinissimus obtient un bon prix de vente
Si les frais de port pouvaient baisser, la dégustation de ce Whisky en serait que plus agréable

Grande whisky
Un whisky molto particolare per la sua rotondità e dal gusto morbido.
Molto profumato, sentori del legno che non sono riscontrabili in altri whisky scozzesi. Un vera peculiarità di questo distillato.

Fantastico
Veramente eccezionale anche senza l'indicazione di età si sente che è maturato per anni nelle botti da sherry. Frutta cotta, ciliegie (sherry) e una punta agrumata gli aromi in evidenza
