The Macallan is one of the top prize-winning malt whiskies in the world and the 1824 series one of its most highly acclaimed ranges, especially The Macallan Amber and The Macallan Sienna. Created as a homage to the year in which the Easter Elchies House was granted its first licence for distillation, the names of these whiskies result from the spectacularly harmonious toning of their natural colours, achieved distinctively by their maturing in 100% Spanish oak barrels previously steeped in Sherry wines.
This distillery has historically opted for the best Spanish oak from Galicia in this series, and its ageing in Oloroso Sherry casks is responsible for its unique, inimitable character. The fusion of Scottish tradition and the wonderful Sherry element come together in The Macallan 1824 Series, featuring the best of the Highlands and of Spain.

delicadamente intenso
Un sabor excepcional, delicado e intenso. Se nota el paso por la barrica de Jerez, pero la madera no tapa los sabores cítricos, ni la fruta por lo que resulta delicado y largo en boca. En mi opinión, se caracteriza por la sutileza en los sabores, la elegancia, la delicadeza. Es excelente para después de una comida o una cena, un whisky fácil de tomar
