The distillery has worked with the collaboration of the renowned Pantone Colour Institute who have created the special purple colour for the label, a complex shade to express the complex process of making a The Macallan whisky.

The Macallan Edition nº5 is a structured whisky continuing the line of other unique single malts they have created. As with their other whiskies, transparency is key here too as well as a focus on its production, the skills of the "Whisky Maker", and the significant role the oak ageing has on the final result: 525 American oak casks of five different types, each one chosen for the colour and aromatic depth they provide. An excellent whisky with spicy hints and rich intense aromas.
