The wine
Created from grapes growing at an altitude of 1,200 metres, Alamos Chardonnay has a truly exceptional character. The high temperatures and intense sunlight during the daytime contrast with the cool nights to allow the fruit to ripen perfectly. The temperature difference preserves the quality of the fruit and adds tension to the wine, finding a wonderful balance between acidity and sweetness as only nature can.
Alamos Chardonnay displays mature and complex aromas and a rich palate, with tropical hints refreshed by citrus fruit. An extremely versatile wine for any table. A partial malolactic fermentation and subtle ageing process in oak for 6 to 9 months adds complexity and body.
What does this wine taste like?
The result is a fresh and resinous wine, dominated by fruity and floral aromas; dry, balanced and rounded on the palate. Aromas of apple and pineapple combine with orange blossom and vanilla to offer an inimitable fragrance. Its time spent in wood adds toasted hints, caramel and spices such as cloves and cinnamon. A citrus finish allows the aromas to linger for minutes after every sip, ensuring you take away a wonderful memory from every new bottle.
