Montosoli is a vineyard of about 5 hectares in the north east of Montalcino at an altitude between 350 and 400 meters, whose grapes were vinified separately for the first time with the 1975 harvest. The composition of the soil (marly and siliceous limestones ), the happy exposure and the particular microclimate contribute to the ripening of the grapes that produce a wine of extreme complexity and elegance.
Brunello Montosoli shows an intense ruby red color that fades into garnet with aging. The nose denotes an exceptional personality with notes of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, violet, licorice, vanilla and slight hints of pink pepper. In the mouth it reveals a dry, warm, velvety flavor, a rich texture and a noble breed. The finish is warm and persuasive for a long time.

Wow
Been to this winery. Family seems actively involved but clearly bigger operation. There montosoli is the best. Complex, dark fruits. Special occasion wine for sure.
