Añares Reserva

Stored under the famous one hundred and eleven hexagonal domes at the spectacular Bodegas Olarra winery, the Añares Reserva has won awards at the most important European wine competitions thanks to its combination of the best modern winemaking techniques with the traditional production and ageing methods used in Rioja. A wine with a strong personality made mainly from Tempranillo grapes which, following a careful selection, undergo an intense maceration to give the wine its strong colour and aromas. Following fermentation and 18 months ageing in oak, the bottles are kept in the cellar till the wine reaches its maximum roundness and the drinker can enjoy a complex, balanced, round wine with a clear Rioja character.

At first sight, the wine has an intense cherry colour with glimmers of garnet. Fresh aromas of red fruit and liquorice blend with toasted tones from its time spent ageing in wood. Wide and elegant in the mouth, with an abundance of spicy notes.
