Arzuaga Reserva
2019Spec sheet
The wine
Arzuaga Reserva is a splendid red wine from Arzuaga-Navarro, one of the most prestigious Ribera del Duero wineries both nationally and internationally. Produced with Tempranillo and small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Arzuaga Reserva combines the structure and complexity of old vines, some over 80 years old, with the freshness and energy of young plants. A long ageing process of 30 months in new French oak barrels results in a wine embodying the authentic essence of Ribera del Duero.
The virtual wine tasting
What does this wine taste like?
In the glass, the wine displays a bright ruby-red colour. Notes of dark fruits and hints of toasted wood and smoke stand out among rich aromas. A powerful, balanced and expressive Reserva. Silky sensations in a well-structured and enveloping wine whose sweet tannins help to strengthen its unctuosity before leaving us with a delightfully lingering aftertaste.

Founded in the early 90s by the Arzuaga Navarro family, the winery that bears his name stands near the Duero river, on the road that connects Soria with Valladolid. The building is a song to the stone, a solid and rustic monastic evocation, with its arcades, its towers and the bell tower. It was Florentino Arzuaga, a great wine lover, who founded Bodegas Arzuaga-Navarro after buying Finca La Planta, located in the Valladolid town of Quintanilla de Onésimo. Then came the...
