Lovely smooth wine

Goes really well with red meat. Excellent without being too heavy.

Needs the right food pairing

A straightforward Rioja without huge amounts of character. I love vanilla, oak and a flavour which develops over time but found this a little simple for my tastes. It may also be the 100% tempranillo which lacks some of the subtlety of the blended varieties. That said, it paired quite well with a spicy pasta dish. A reasonably decent wine though for me it wasn't spectacular.

Nice and reliable table red wine

This tempranillo wine is a quality product. It has a versatile full flavor, which is relatively strong in positive meening. the aftertaste is pleasant. It suits best with spicy food and strong salads. This Reserva wine also offers reasons to discuss about its' flavor and surely nice experiences with this wine will continue.

einfacher Rioja

Der Azpilicueta 2012 von Campo Viejo ist trotz "Reserva" eher kurz im Nachklang. Geschmacklich ansprechend, aber man darf (auch bei dem Preis) nicht zu viel erwarten. Aber sehr gut "alltagstauglich".

Une confirmation

Toujours égal à lui même, à mon goût et celui de la femme ce qui n’est pas rien, très bon rapport qualité/prix. Une très belle découverte qui est désormais tout le temps présente dans ma cave.
