The wine
Made from 100% Mencía grapes of vines aged over 40 years old, grown in a place called Cabanelas, in Valtuille de Abajo. This area is characterised by gentle, south-facing slopes, lying at an altitude of 500 metres, with calcareous-clay soils.
Aged for between 4 and 7 months in French and American oak barrels.
