The wine
Banfi Poggio alle Mura is a very classy Brunello. It is presented in the glass of a rich ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose is embellished with tones of pink, purple, cherry, raspberry, tobacco and deep sensations of humus with a mentholated trail. Great quality also on the palate: savory, full-bodied, with appropriate tannins. Long and persistent finish. It ages two years in barriques and casks and refines one year in the bottle. It excels on braised meat and stews in general. Also excellent with 48 months Parmigiano Reggiano and traditional balsamic vinegar.
