Nascetta is an extremely rare Piedmontese grape. It is found almost exclusively in the municipality of Novello and for a long time it was used for the production of an excellent white wine by only one producer in the world. Today some companies in the Langhe that have dedicated themselves to the recovery of forgotten vines, have resumed cultivating this white berried grape, vinifying it in purity and obtaining fruity and floral wines, very balanced and extremely pleasant.
La Nascetta by Cascina Ballarin has a straw yellow color and an excellent consistency. The nose has a fine and delicate scent, initially of citrus, pineapple, dandelion and almond, but as the temperature increases it acquires sweeter nuances of golden apple. On the palate it is dry, quite warm and with a good flavor. We find the discreet almond note perceived on the nose as well as floral hints of hawthorn in a finish of good length.
It is a delicate wine that shows a beautiful evolution in the glass; perfect to amaze guests at the time of the aperitif, in combination with a mixed Italian appetizer.
