The wine
It is an aromatic Malvasia of Candia, with an intense aroma and marked taste, the undisputed queen of our table. What could be more sparkling and full of scents and colors than the music of the great Maestro? Verdi was born and raised here, in these enchanted places and his characters experience the explosion of human energy that only the products of these lands can give us. It is a joy to find the power of the most famous Italian music in the world in Malvasia Terre Verdiane. Legend has it that on that magical Sunday evening, 10 October 1813, Carlo Verdi, after having seen his son Giuseppe be born, toasted his new life with glasses of this superfine nectar. The Malvasia Terre Verdiane, still today, is the expression of how the centuries-old tradition of the people of this place is alive and immortal.
Intense straw yellow, the nose is aromatic and complex, with hints of fresh flowers, green apple, white peach and tropical fruits. Splendid herbaceous and delicately balsamic notes, from sage to rosemary. Particularly intense on the sip, it has an excellent balance between softness and acidity. Pleasant flavor and composed but decisive character. Extremely versatile wine, it lends itself to an aperitif based on cured meats or aged cheeses as well as to accompany even full-bodied first courses or second courses of white meat, which always manages to balance perfectly. Try it with baked or grilled fish fillets.
