This wine was rather austere when we first drank it (December 2016) but had developed significantly for the better after a further two months in bottle. It is unmistakable junior claret from the genre's mainstream grape varieties to be enjoyed with roast lamb or or fresh (not hung) pheasant. We suspect that it would have continued to improve for a while but it did not get the chance!
