The wine
It was in 1919, on the return from the Great War, that Jean-Baptiste Arpin acquired his first hectare of vines in the Maillet sector. Since then, the vineyard has considerably extended to Pomerol and other Libournese appellations, but its flagship remains Château Franc-Maillet. Alongside his father Gérard, Gaël Arpin, 4th generation, is now committed to perpetuating the family tradition by improving quality at all levels of production and thus making each vintage a success.
