The wine

Clos d'Englora is named after one of the Monsant peaks, and the AV14 part refers to the grapes being sourced from 'aged vineyards', with the wine enjoying approximately 14 months of barrel ageing.

Clos d'Englora AV14 has not undergone treatments such as clarification, stabilization or filtration. The grapes used in production are from old vines: 70 year-old Garnachas and 50 year-old Cariñenas, whilst the other varieties are aged around 25 years old.

This is the bodega's most personalised and highly prized wine. It is intended to convey the region's character in a lively and intense way, combining its powerfulness with delicacy.

An intense garnet colour with burgundy hues, the wine's nose shows aromatic intensity, releasing fruit, spicy and mineral notes. Complex, creamy and fruit-forward, there are mineral and balsamic notes enhancing the powerful palate.

Aged for 14 months in French (86%) and American (14%) oak barrels.

Cellers Baronia del Montsant

Cellers Baronia del Montsant

Cellers Baronia del Montsant started up in August 1998 in the town of Cornudella de Montsant, in the province of Tarragona. It resulted from a young initiative that had a clear philosophy in mind, to produce wines that were different and exclusive, intended for more educated and discerning palates; and so the Clos d'Englora wines came into being, produced under the Montsant Denomination of Origin.
