The wine

Located in the Agly valley, in the Roussillon region, Clos des Feés boasts parcels with fantastic geological diversity and different orientations that enormously enrich the wines they produce. From the respect shown to this great terroir, to the varieties which grow there, and as a result of the excellent work of a wine producer such as Bizeul, emanate wines of immense fruit expression, fresh, balanced and with marked purity.

Arising from the estate's oldest vines (aged 50 to 100 years old), and made from a coupage of Garnacha and Hairy Garnacha (50%), Cariñena (35%) and Syrah (15%), Clos des Fées Vieilles Vignes is aged for 12 months in one and two-wine barrels without racking, complemented with a portion aged in traditional concrete vats. Bottled after the blend has matured for two months, the result is a wine of natural concentration, but very aromatic and without undue extravagance. Perfumed, exotic and complex, with the customary purity this house is known for. With smooth and mature tannins, a good mineral background and cellaring potential for 5 to 10 years. Ideal for accompanying substantial meat dishes such as wild boar stew or lamb chops.

Without any financial resources and with no other desire than to produce wine for pure pleasure, the passion and talent put into the endeavour by the pair led to the brilliant success of the first wine they produced, La Petite Sibérie. From then onwards, the winery has been continually...
