Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker

One of the few varietal Gracianos, the 2015 Graciano fermented in 10,000-liter oak vats with a specific strain of yeast they have been using for over a decade now. The wine matured in brand new French and 10% Hungarian oak barrels for a period of 15 months. It's dark, powerful, ripe and heady, a year when Graciano ripened to perfection and produced one of those thick, hedonistic and concentrated fruit bombs aided by a generous dose of oak and toast, with dark aromas of ripe berries, licorice, peat and graphite. The one characteristic that sets it apart is its wild acidity, almost citrusy, and surprisingly round and lush tannins. A decadent, concentrated and modern Graciano for the long haul. 5,602 bottles were filled in July 2017.

Viñedos del Contino

Viñedos del Contino, along with Cvne (Haro) (Haro) and Viña Real, belongs to the winery group Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España. The three are located in the Rioja Alta, in Northern Spain.
