Cuvée Anonyme Châteauneuf-du-Pape
2016Spec sheet
The wine
Cuvée Anonyme is appropriately named, as it is impossible to know the exact blend of this cuvée that comes from "collector vines" where many grape varieties are planted. 100-year-old Grenache, but also Vaccarèse, Counoise, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Terret Noir and Muscardin.
It has a more than limited performance since three vines were required for each bottle produced. Traditional winemaking, with a long maceration of approximately one month. Aging for more than 15 months: 25% in French oak barrels (Allier –Tronçais), 25% in barrels, 25% in semi-silent, 25% in concrete tanks. Very low SO2 dose and light filtration.
