The wine
Second wine from Château Saint-Pierre, II from Château Saint-Pierre is a single-varietal red wine of Merlot produced in the Pomerol appellation. Upon tasting, Château Saint-Pierre 2016 II develops a rich and diverse bouquet, combining fragrances of vanilla and black fruit (blackberries) with vegetal notes (undergrowth). The wine shows roundness on the palate, with very good quality tannins. It offers a soft finish, with great aromatic persistence.
