The wine
Dolç d'Orto Negre is the result of showing a bit of initiative and from knowing how to make use of what others might perhaps reject: why not gather up the raisiny Garnacha Tinta grapes that would normally be discarded at harvest time? That is how it all started for this wine, and then came fermentation with skins for 28 days, pressing and into steel tanks, to carry on fermenting naturally.
The same as its white sibling, Dolç d'Orto Negre maintains unbelievable acidity, despite having more than 120 g/l of residual sugar, and really is a wine you can get into.

Orto Vins is one of the most interesting projects to have been set up in the Priorat region in recent times. Opting for the Montsant D.O, four vinegrowers have joined ranks: Jordi Beltran, Josep M. Beltran, Josep M. Jové and Joan Asens.
