The wine

Domaine Maby Lirac La Fermade is a mixture of garnacha, syrah and mourvèdre that is aged in stainless steel tanks. This vintage seduces with its aromas of red fruits and the flexibility of its tannins. A very beautiful harvest that can be aged for ten years to appreciate its intense notes of wild thyme and rosemary garriga.

Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker and Jancis Robinson

The 2018 Lirac la Fermade is 50% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre, all vinified and matured in stainless steel. Still a gorgeous purple-red hue, it offers up intoxicating aromas of red raspberries and garrigue, with hints of roasted plums and star anise. Medium to full-bodied, it's ripe and velvety on the palate, finishing long and plush. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.

Liquorice and strawberries. Intense fruit and great structure. Piercing wild strawberry and cranberry sweetness, touch of marzipan, loads of wild thyme. This is a riot of southern warmth and charm. Muscular tannins that hold up the weight of fruit with easy grace. Another GV - Good value wine!
