The wine

Produced under the Côtes de Gascogne IGP label in south-west France, Domaine Tariquet Premières Grives is a single-varietal white wine made from the local Gros Manseng variety. Grapes are collected at the time of autumn just as the first thrushes arrive, and this gives the wine its name (Premières Grives literally means the first thrushes in French). The grapes are well-ripened, ensuring they offer an excellent degree of sugar and pleasure.

Seductively smooth, a white wine with splendid aromas of exotic fruits and candied citrus fruit in perfect balance with its refreshing acidity and light sweetness. A simple yet complex, refreshing wine.

What does this wine taste like?

It is a fine, elegant and distinctive wine with an exotic and moreish profile. Rounded, well-structured and rich, but also with a freshness which invigorates the wine and generates an immediate sensation of pleasure. A wonderful white wine with a seductive smoothness, balanced sweetness and an enjoyable finish of fresh grapes. A semi-sweet wine, ideal to share with friends or family and to drink on any occasion, but especially appreciated on warm summer days.
