The wine
A dark cherry colour and almost opaque, this wine displays aromas of ripe but not over-ripened black fruit, mineral notes and traces of slate. It is very powerful and fruit-forward on the palate, with a slightly bitter finish, notable persistence and a perfect integration of the oak.
Matured for 22 months in new French Allier oak barrels.
