The wine

According to the legend, the Etruscan people, who occupied the Tuscan lands before the Roman era, learned from a mysterious boy named Tageto, born from the furrow of the plow used by Tarconte, the way of cultivating vines and olive trees. It is therefore Tageto the name of the Costa Toscana Rosso by Donna Olimpia, a more snappy and jovial interpretation of the red wine Bolgherese territory. Rising up to be the reference winery in Maremma, Donna Olimpia is the estate of Guido Folonari, who leads a winery whose raison d'être is the sensory integrity and the typicality of the vines.

Grapes in which Cabernet Sauvignon is the master, with about 70% of the mass, Tageto is a Costa Toscana of a beautiful garnet colour with transparent and lively ruby echoes, a clear sign of the youthfulness of the product. A certain vinosity is perceptible in its bouquet, with vivid scents of strawberry, raspberry and sour cherry combined with a deeper subtext of peppers, son of Cabernet, chocolate and liquorice, the product of the gentle roasting of Merlot.

On the palate too its youthfulness is noted, in perfect consistency with the bouquet. Thanks to the delicate aroma of Petit Verdot, it is pleasant and immediate, with good structure and appreciable roundness. The tannin, well integrated and of a certain sweetness, completes the picture of a wine which is carefree, versatile and perfect with friend and family, without skimping seconds on persistence, excellent and taste.
