The wine

Isolano, produced by Donnafugata in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana, is a white wine with a unique label and a finely designed box. It is an exceptional white wine, which ages for 10 months, partly in tanks and partly in French oak barrels, and then in the bottle for over 12 months before being released on the market. The classic full-bodied and mineral white with a long aging potential, with a potential of over ten years.

It is presented in the glass of straw yellow color with golden reflections, the nose has a refined bouquet with fragrant citrus hints, notes of broom in bloom and Mediterranean herbs. Isolano is a wine of enveloping elegance which on the palate stands out for its persistence and extraordinary volcanic minerality. Perfect with shellfish, vegetarian first courses, porcini mushrooms, fish dishes or white meats.

The image on the label, conceived by Dolce & Gabbana, enhances the colors of Sicily both in the graphics and in the box, but also in the chromatic choice of the capsule and the grosgrain ribbon: the motifs and geometric shapes typical of the Sicilian cart, in dominated by red, green, blue and yellow and the smoking Etna in the center. Imposing and solitary in its majestic grandeur, the volcano seems to float between earth and sky, between dream and reality, continuing to enchant with its genuine and authentically Sicilian beauty.

The Donnafugata wines are ambassadors of Sicily and its exciting, wide-ranging realm of sensations: conveying the diversity of soils present on the island, the various orientations and altitudes of the vineyard locations, the climate’s special...
