The wine

El Perro Verde is a classic Verdejo. Born in the also classic area of Valladolid and with the typical aromas of an unoaked and well-made verdejo: white flowers, freshly cut grass, fennel and the characteristic bitter finish.

Its author, Lorenzo Cachazo, has turned this Verdejo into a very popular white wine. El Perro Verde is part of Uvas Felices, the successful project of VilaViniteca, the well-known Barcelona wine distributor.

Drinking and storing

Take the bottle out of the fridge, wait for it to rise a couple of degrees so that the aromas can show through, keep it in an ice bucket with ice or in a cooler, serve and enjoy. This wine is really easy to interpret. Drink it in its youth, in its first two years.

Serve between 6ºC and 8ºC

Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker

The nose of the 2014 El Perro Verde is more subtle than of the Fenomenal, with white flowers, pit fruit and something balsamic. The palate is very fresh, combining volume and freshness, coming through as quite balanced, intense and clean with nothing reductive or strange. It is elegant, pleasant and easy to drink. This wine is volume, quality and affordability all in one. It can be done... 450,000 bottles produced.
