The wine
Elvio Cogno Mandorlo is a characteristic Dolcetto with excellent body, fruity, fresh in its youth and progressively more complex after bottle aging. The color is deep ruby red with deep violet reflections. The scent, immediate, enveloping and overwhelmingly persistent, recalls the mashed grapes which, as they mature, take on hints of red forest berries. In the mouth it is dry, full, elegant, round, with notes of fruit and an almondy finish of pleasant intensity. Ideal to be served with appetizers, dry soups and in broth, or with cold cuts and fresh cheeses.
