The wine

Polvorete is the youngest of the whites which the Emilio Moro family produces in the Bierzo. A Godello in a pure state, without any embellishments but with all its fruitiness: clean aromas of fresh pears, characteristic of the variety, and many other nuances. A lively wine, envisaged to be drunk in company.

The label is the work of the artist Domingo Zapata, who reflects the wine’s cheerfulness by using a variety of bright colours.

Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker

The 2020 Polvorete feels harmonious, fresh and young, with purity of fruit, no makeup and contained ripeness. There is good balance and clean flavors. It finishes dry and fresh. 160,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2021 after being in tank with the lees.

Emilio Moro

Bodegas Emilio Moro has the perfect platform for producing great wines: family tradition (José and Javier Moro are the third generation of vine growers), a strategic site (in the heart of the Ribera del Duero), pure clones of the indigenous grape, excellent quality soils (clay, chalk and gravel) and an ideal orientation. The winery currently owns some 200 hectares of vineyards, planted and grafted with an excellent Tempranillo clone recouped from their oldest vineyards. Some...
