The wine

We have here an original white wine, designed inside the vineyard and made along exclusive lines purely à la carte. A white wine with great length and enormous potential, fresh, meaty and showing the definite mark of its terroir.

The Planacor estate, where the grapes for this wine are grown, is home to one of Somontano's oldest Chardonnay vineyards, a plateau located at a height of 430 metres above sea level which enjoys a micro-climate similar to that of lands near the Mediterranean, with moderate winters, dry hot summers, and considerable temperature variation throughout the day.

The bottle presentation shows close attention to detail: an original painting by Erwin Bechtold, who claims: “Freedom, this is the sentiment behind every work of art. An individual approach with individual ideas”, which appears on the label, and the most important information is also included in Braille.

A golden yellow colour, there are lactic notes on the nose, of ripe peach, dried fruit, nougat and high roast on an elegant mineral background. Fresh and with extraordinarily meatiness on the palate, it boasts considerable length.

NOTE: This wine has not been clarified or stabilised, which may result in sediment occurring in the bottle.

Alcoholic fermentation in new, fine-grained and medium-toasted, French oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation and maturation on its lees for 20 months. Subsequently resting for a further 4 months in a small vat, until bottling occurs.

Enate

The main reference point for the Somontano Denomination of Origin and a winery that describes itself as nature's apprentice, due to feelings of great respect and admiration, and which seeks to capture the perfection manifest in nature and convey it in their wines. Enate offers a wide range of wines, from classic Crianzas and Reservas, several single varietals, at different price points and with very distinct personalities, to choice wines like its highly-esteemed Enate Uno, a...
