The wine
Wine that comes from the younger Sangiovese grapes, in fact it has a lower tannic structure than Brunello di Montalcino. At the sight it has an intense ruby red color and the scent that emanates refers to hints of cherries and red fruits with floral and spicy final notes. On the palate it is medium-structured, fresh with a good drink and soft and pleasant tannins. It goes perfectly with first and second courses of meat and aged cheeses.

Fattoria dei Barbi
Fattoria dei Barbi is truly one of the great wineries of Montalcino, and also the company which has produced Brunello wine continuously for the longest time. Brunello is a single-variety Sangiovese wine first created by the Biondi-Santi family in the late 19th century.
