Fattoria Zerbina Marzieno

Born in the wake of the Tuscan experience of the Supertuscans, the Marzieno has been able over the years to build its own personality and above all its own credibility, so much so that over the years, according to critics, it has been among the few red wines of our region to be able to compete with best Italian reds of its type. Starting from the 2001 harvest, while continuing to maintain a solid framework given by the Sangiovese, the Marzieno blend saw the introduction, alongside the Cabernet Sauvignon, of other vines such as Syrah and Merlot.

Dark ruby red. Associate small black fruits with notes of cherries in alcohol and spices, tobacco and chocolate. Very mellow, in the mouth the tannin is enveloping and velvety, powerful but always balanced by a good freshness. Stop in French oak barriques (20% new) and in a small percentage also American and Hungarian oak (10%) for twelve months.
