The wine
Fontalpino's Do ut Des is an important and energetic wine; it has a deep and intense ruby color. The nose has a floral attack of rose and violet, followed by balsamic and then the aromatic herb of rosemary. Berries, cinnamon, hazelnut, cocoa and undergrowth complete the olfactory set. At the sip it is slender but full-bodied, savory and with young and snappy tannins, looking for a sure balance to come. The finish, warm and fruity, is long and satisfying. It goes perfectly with structured dishes such as braised meats and roasts.
