The wine

The Forteto della Luja Loazzolo Piasa Rischei 202* is a sweet dessert wine produced by the Forteto della Luja winery in the Loazzolo DOC appellation in Piedmont, Italy. Made exclusively from Moscato Bianco grapes from terraced vineyards with steep slopes and chalky-marly soils, this wine reflects a careful selection of clusters affected by noble botrytis and partly dehydrated on straw mats. After a slow pressing and a long fermentation for 24 months in small oak barrels, it is bottled in the spring of the third year. It has a deep yellow colour with golden highlights, aromas of apricot and toasted spices, and a rich, balanced flavour between sweetness and freshness, with a finish that evokes almond and citrus. Perfect for pairing with blue cheeses, foie gras and dry pastries, it is recommended to serve between 8 and 12°C. Available in 375ml bottles with elegant presentations, this wine is a refined expression of Moscato Bianco and an example of the uniqueness of the small Loazzolo DOC appellation.
