Giacomo Conterno Barolo Cascina Francia (only called "Francia" since 2010, in homage to the great cru from which it comes) is a prized red with an unmistakable style. The color shows intense and lively garnet tones. The aromas are captivating, characteristic of a Barolo of great elegance, with shades of red fruit, currant, raspberry, rose and purple, with hints of tobacco, mint and coffee. The taste is aggressive, full of personality, the tannins well extracted, strong but not at all bitter. Definitely balanced, with an excellent presence of acidity, considerable evolutionary possibilities and the premises for a radiant aging. Ideal in combination with red meats, game, stews, braised meats and aged cheeses.
