Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker

The 2019 Grandes Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de San Vicente de la Sonsierra is a new wine produced with grapes from grower Jesusa Areta, who is mentioned on the label. This is a sprout from the Linder project and range for exceptional vineyards that deserve to be bottled separately. In this case, they have bottled this wine since 2011 but never released it until now. They fermented the 3,000 kilos of grapes from very old vines in an oak vat with indigenous yeasts and matured the wine in a mixture of barriques and foudres for 12 to 15 months. The wine is surprisingly elegant, very floral and balanced, ethereal but with weight. It's a delicate, complex and rare Rioja with a very special taste. It's exceptional. 2,993 bottles were filled in July 2021.

There are still traces to be found of their community (a wine press and a cemetery). In 1968 Jaime Rodríguez Salís restored the vineyards and the ancient buildings, converting the monastery into the winery it is today, where the Remelluri...
