Joseph Drouhin Côtes de Nuits Villages
2017Spec sheet
The wine
The Joseph Drouhin Côtes de Nuits Villages is a faithful expression of the terroir of the Côte de Nuits region. Created from a delicious mixture of Pinot Noir grapes collected from vineyards in several small villages in the south of the appellation: Corgoloin, Comblanchien, Premeaux, Brochon and Couchey. After vinification, the wine is left to age in new and used barrels for between twelve to fifteen months.
What does this wine taste like?
The result is this wonderfully delicious and well-balanced Burgundy wine with intense aromas of wild cherries, liquorice, mild spices, undergrowth and damp vegetation. It offers an excellent equilibrium between its tannins, acidity and herbal notes in the mouth, with a velvety mouthfeel and a constant reminder of the taste of small red fruits.
