La Dame de Montrose is the second wine of Château Montrose, one of the best second wines to be found in Bordeaux, a wine of the highest quality, with a refinement and delicacy that reverently uphold the femininity of its name, and also a classic Bordeaux in style, shown by its tobacco notes.
Made from 64% Cabernet and 36% Merlot grapes, La Dame de Montrose is a vigorous wine, of great elegance, with a complex nose which exhibits delightful aromas of ripe fruit (Morello cherries, raspberries... but also of black fruit), notes of tobacco and undergrowth, and seduces on the palate with its juicy texture, its freshness and silky feel. Offering very considerable persistence, it also has a long life ahead in the cellar.
For those who find the house's top wine out of reach, La Dame de Montrose is an alternative with great virtues and its own merits.

Exciting St-Estephe second wine.
Madame needs time but is quite rewarding. At least two hours decanding is recommendent. Blackberries, tobacco, cedar, graphity and cassic on nose, Strong acidity with very good natural richness and purity. Athletic tannins still after decanding. Medium pluas bodies and medium spicy lingering finish. Benefits surely cellaring.
