Legaris Crianza
2021Spec sheet
The wine
Legaris Crianza is made mainly from Tinto Fino grapes with a small quantity of Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense methodical work in the vineyards produces an excellent harvest which is carefully collected and taken to the winery to be gently de-stemmed. The grapes are kept in cool conditions for a couple of days to conserve the essence of the fruit and then fermented for two weeks before the wine is then deposited in French and American oak barrels to age for 12 months and gain its unmistakeable character.
What does this wine taste like?
The painstaking work of the winery results in a splendidly intense wine, with a Picota cherry colour and violet rims. In the nose, the Legaris Crianza elegantly combines aromas of ripe dark fruit with spicy and balsamic hints from its time spent ageing in barrels. Vanilla and coconut also dominate among its honest and intense aromas, alongside cherries and blackberries. It's a wide flavoursome and lively wine in the mouth with pleasant tannins and a good volume. It delights the drinker with its harmony, but also with the intensity of its sensations. A lingering wine, it leaves a taste of elegant liqueurs and fine spicy notes.

As well as its traditional range of Roble, Crianza, and Reserva wines, in recent years the winery has explored the geographical wealth of the area working with both 'village wines' and their Páramos wine to demonstrate the qualities of high-altitude...
