The wine

Creciente is another Viñedos Singulares project, this time in the Rías Baixas of Galicia and featuring the excellent Albariño grape variety. The site chosen lies within the municipality of Creciente in the interior of Galicia, beside the River Miño, in the sub-region of Condado de Tea. The philosophy behind this wine is to preserve the varietal character and represent the most classic Albariño wines, without any recourse to Muscatel-type flavours that can sometimes confuse consumers. So here we have Creciente, an enjoyable, pure and simple, easy-drinking wine.

Sprinklings of flowers, fennel, Granny Smith apples and smooth menthol notes define the nose; without tropical hints nor any semblance to Sauvignon Blanc or Muscatel. The fresh-feel quality continues well, right onto the taste-buds but quite discreetly — and on occasions what we need is a sparky little wine like this to really sharpen up our palates! Delightfully soothing and deliciously tasty, that's Creciente.

A careful selection of the most important indigenous grape varieties in each region is used to produce...
