The wine
A powerful and complex wine, an indigenous single varietal, like its sibling the Crianza, full of life and fruit.
In appearance, the wine is a very intense dark cherry colour, almost opaque, with a red rim. The nose displays good aromatic intensity with very ripe red fruit (redcurrants) and toasty, smoky and cedar wood notes. On the palate it is balanced and fleshy, with very ripe and jammy red fruit, cocoa, cloves and liquorice. The tannins are elegant and extremely well-integrated, and the wine has plenty of persistence.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, with the rest of the time in bottle.
